HOW TO DRAW CARS THE EASY WAY
Always had a desire to sketch and draw cars but never gave
it a try? Now is the time to start.
Drawing cars has evolved as a great hobby among people in
recent times. With the new and exciting models of cars coming
on the market, the car industry is taking people around the
globe by storm. Look around and you will find every second
person to be a car enthusiast. I have not known any car fanatic
who doesn’t come up with his own creative car designs. Among
them there are two categories of people, one, those who like to
put their imagination on paper and two, those who like to keep
their designs to themselves as they aren’t sure of their
drawing skills.
In case you belong to the second category then let me tell you
a secret, I never knew I could ever draw until I gave it a try.
And in the process of learning to draw cars, I realized the
best and the easiest way to draw anything doesn’t require a
learning program. Drawing is an art and not a science that
needs to be taught. Sketching, painting, drawing is nothing but
putting your imagination or what you see around you onto paper.
It’s not an exact science but yes, it does require a guide to
show you the right way to make your drawing experience a fun
and easy one.
Most ‘how to draw’ manuals that we find on the internet come
with a bunch of information which you are asked to build into
your drawings. For an absolute beginner though the chances of
faltering are much higher. However, this doesn’t mean you give
up on the idea of drawing; many do and that’s exactly where
they go wrong.
This is not one of those ‘how to’ manuals that you usually find
on the internet but just an easy guide to get you started. As I
always tell people and would like to mention here as well, the
first step to start drawing cars is to have a decent idea about
the basic geometric figures. These shapes help you make the
basic outline of a car that you can later mould into the
specific shape of car you intend to draw by adding, erasing,
and altering the shapes and lines. Once you have the proper
outline image of your car, the next step is to darken the image
in order to make it prominent. Next, comes the last step:
‘coloring’. Coloring and choosing the right colors are a very
important part in the process of drawing. Therefore, once you
have your car outline ready, shade it with appropriate
colors.
This is all it calls for. Doesn’t that sound easy? As I
mentioned earlier, drawing isn’t any science, it is an art that
you need to inculcate.
You must have heard the famous saying, ‘practice makes a man
perfect’. This is exactly what great artists follow. No one is
born perfect, and even when you reach a level of perfection,
there is always room for better work. So don’t give up when you
make mistakes, keep practicing and you will see yourself
evolving as a better artist. Good Luck!
